Word of the Day

Genesis 13, 14, 15 Matthew 5:1-26

Abram understood where his blessing came from. Abram's righteousness came from believing in God's promises. His worship of God was evident as he built altars and sacrificed to the Lord. People knew God was with Abram. In Matthew 5 we see Jesus giving the sermons or beatitudes. Can people see that I am a true follower of Christ? Do I get persecuted because of Jesus? Do I give credit to the Lord for what people perceive as to be good deeds? Do I get angry with people not understanding that I might as well murder them? Jesus expands the commandments toward what is happening in the person heart verse being physically carried out. It hurts when you are considered a closet Bible thumper which I was recently accused of. I want people to know I am a true follower of Jesus.

Lord you know the truth of my heart. Please Lord let me give You all the praise and glory. Please Father show me the true motives of my heart that I may confess them to you. Lord if there is anyone I need to reconcile with please show me so I may worship You with a clean heart. Lord help me have a bright light for people to see as I follow You.
