Seek Him in 2021

Updated Blog1

Lamentations 3:

20 Surely my soul remembers
And is bowed down within me.
21 This I recall to my mind,
Therefore I have hope.
22 The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I have hope in Him.”
25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the person who seeks Him.
26 It is good that he waits silently
For the salvation of the Lord.

Well as we close out 2020 I know it has been an incredible year to say the least. We have seen a lot of ups and downs. This is nothing that you do not already know. Last night at about 2:00 in the morning the LORD hit me with these verses as I was reflecting on some sad news we had just received.  We found out that my ex-brother-in-law was killed in an automobile accident. My heart goes out to his family and his son. They are not believers. We have shared the gospel with my nephew before.

Even as difficult as 2020 has been, we know the LORD has plans that we do not understand but our hope and trust is in Him during these times.  We are learning how to wait patiently on Him more and more. As we head into the new year my focus is and will be to continue to seek after Him. This passage in Lamentations may become my “verse” for 2021. I love you all and please pray for the LORD to use what has happened in 2020 and what will come in 2021 for a greater urgency to share His love with others as we never know when our days will end here on this earth.
