"For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified."
1 Corinthians 2:2

Over a week ago the Lord put this verse on my heart during my prayer time with Him. He kept reminding me that I am focusing on people and circumstances rather than on Him. It was interesting how my priorities changed by meditating on this verse.

A few days ago I was asked to take a turn and lead the Body in Communion. I usually stress a little about what is the best to say or what would God want me to say. In my time with the Lord that morning I was praying for God to show me. I was reading in Acts 8. Verse 35 jumped out at me, "Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he preached Jesus to him." It was the same thought that God had given me before. This might seem a little simple to you, but I love it when the Lord speaks and then reinforces His message to me. He knows that I need that in my walk with Him.

Oh Father thank You for how You have so clearly demonstrated that my focus for living should be ….."Jesus and Him crucified".
