Word of the Day: Psalm 118:24
Psalm 118:24
This is the day which the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
A Never Before Day
If you have called our landline anytime over the last 31 years, and we are not home ... you will hear the above phrase.
I really like it because, to me, it brings to light a new day .. a day I have never lived before. I am anxious to see what God will do with the heart-beat and breath given to me for this I have never lived before..
Yes, I know that there are several different views on the meaning of the verse .. a king being honored coming back from a victory, or the remembrance of laying the cornerstone of the temple or the day that trumpet sounds.
I also know these words were a part of a praise sung many, many times. The folks coming to Jerusalem for the major festivals would sing Psalm 113 through 118 as they traveled the countryside. Talk about a joyful noise.
I end this thought with verse 29, "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His loving-kindness is everlasting". Could this be the Amen at the end of singing these praises? Amen, LORD.
Blessings,
Tony
