Word of the Day: Matthew 10:29-31
Reading: Matthew 10:29-31
'God Determines our Value'
"Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows. "
Lies, lies, all lies. The world speaks nothing but deceptive words and the philosophy of men. Nothing at all "according to Christ" (Col 2:8). You see, the world has tried to set the standard on self-worth. It tries to tell us the more money we have, the more popularity we experience, the greater the fame and power we possess…..the more valuable we are. What a lie! The truth is God loves us just the way we are. In fact each of us is worth so much to Him, that he gave His only Son as a ransom for us. There is really nothing we can do to make us more valuable to Him.
Lord, let me never forget that my value is not based on who I am,
Or what I do, but on whom You are and what you have made me.
