1 Samuel 17: 37
And David said, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!”

How many times have I read the story of David and the Goliath... many. And this time the Lord in his grace impressed on me how David had been practicing his faith with lions and bears before he met Goliath. I look and see how David so confidently stood up against Goliath because of his faith. His faith was strong, because David had a resume of depending on God to come through so many times before.
Lord, Please help me see that I can start practicing today to defeat Goliath. You are the God who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle. Lord cause me to take risks for your kingdom today and wait for you to show up. Fill me with your Spirit and grant me the faith of a mustard seed to defeat the lions and the bears that you have set before me.
