Elder Update
Dear wvBc Family,
After seeking the LORD through His Word and prayer, we are very excited to announce that the Elder team has decided that it is time for us to gather together again to celebrate what the LORD is doing in and through our body. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." While we have been meeting together in step with that command, we believe it is the right time to gather corporately as well. With that in mind, on August 16th we will gather together corporately at the Grand Ave. facility for a time of singing, prayer, hearing God’s Word, and testimonies as well as a celebration of communion. Consequently, we will not be gathering corporately on August 9th or 23rd as previously planned.
We will have our regular service times of 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. For both services we will have childcare for both infants and toddlers. The main room will be set up similar to the way it was when we last gathered corporately back in June with tables that will allow families to be together. Unlike that service, we ask that each of you consider wearing a mask and do your best to socially distance. Also, please stay home if you have a fever or if you are feeling ill.
We recognize that many of you may be uncomfortable with gathering together with a large group of people. In consideration of this, we are going to attempt to live stream the 10:30 am service via Youtube so that all of you can be a part of the celebration.
Finally, we want all of us to continue to focus on Jesus and be led by the Spirit as we all seek to take part in His Mission together. Please keep Ephesians 6:17-18 top of mind, "17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,"
