We hope this non-exhaustive list of parenting resources is a help to you. Please use them as just a resource, no matter the author they are NOT GOD’S WORD. Take things from these resources and apply them where they are applicable.

Great read for maybe a parent and student to discuss together in the context of purpose and mission for your lives.

The Pursuit of God  (10+ with parent, 13 without)

A.W. Tozer

Very practical book with study guide for parents and students to go through.

Finally Free  (Any age that’s struggling with porn)

Heath Lambert

Practical book on what most males in our church struggle with.  Sexual purity.

The Cost of Discipleship (age 10+ with a parent or 13 without) Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Talking Freely and Naturally about God with Your Children

You and Me Forever by Francis and Lisa Chan (Age 10+)

 It may seem odd to have a book about marriage on a parenting resource page. However, one of the best things you can do for your kids is have a marriage that reflects the King. This book does address parenting specifically as well.

Parenting: 14 Gospel Principals that can Radically change your Family. By Tedd Tripp

This book does a great job of reminding us(parents or grandparents) as to who’s kids they really are and then what is our role in HIS plan for HIS kids.

Don’t Make me Count to Three by Ginger Hubbard

A good read on reminding us that 1st time obedience for kids is important. Do you find yourself threatening, repeating your instructions, or raising your voice in an attempt to get your children to obey? Are you discouraged because it seems you just can t reach the heart of your child? Through personal experience and the practical application of Scripture, Ginger Hubbard encourages and equips moms to reach past the outward behavior of their children and dive deeply into the issues of the heart” Just remember, make sure you are in God’s Word daily and led by His Spirit as you raise His kids.
