Word of the Day: Psalm 62:1

Word of the Day

Psalm 62:1

My soul waits in silence for God only, from Him is my salvation.

Waiting Quietly

David was good at waiting before God. And, waiting quietly. That takes a long term and intimate relationship to achieve. He learned well from his past experiences.

I am still learning even though, unlike most men, I like to shop. When it comes to Mall type experiences, I'll spend time waiting for Jo Ann by roaming through the stores to see what's new and then find a place to settle in with a good book.

But waiting before God is different from waiting for another person or appointment Waiting for God suggests an attitude of worship and dependence rather than hanging around hoping something will happen. Waiting before God involves focusing on who He is and what He is doing in the world while waiting for His answers to arrive

I know that God works at His own pace and in His own way. He will act . And, His clock keeps perfect time.

Blessings,

Tony
