Psalm 50:14

"Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving…."

Do I really have a thankful heart, or do I just have a "polite" heart that looks thankful on the outside? 1 Samuel 16:7 says God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. My "polite" heart might fool people around me, but this heart does not impress the Lord. I pray God develops in me a heart which demonstrates "a sacrifice of thanksgiving". Not only will this heart be pleasing to the Lord, but I believe it's a contagious heart to the people around me.
