Word of the Day: Psalm 27:7
Psalm 27:7
Listen to my pleading, O LORD, be merciful and answer me!
Conversation with the LORD
David was invited to talk with the One who had repeatedly shown He was on David's side. Verse 8 says, "When You said, Seek My face, my heart said to You, Your face, O LORD, I shall seek."
What was on his mind? Perhaps he remembered what he said in Verse 1, "The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?"
He could come to the meeting with quite confidence. And, he could say what was on his mind. We get an idea of what he wanted from Verse 4,"One thing have I asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life."
Move over, David. I want those kind of talks with God, too.
Blessings,
Tony
