Word of the Day: Psalm 25:5

Word of the Day

Psalm 25:5

Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day long.

All Day Long

I get up early. I awake refreshed, renewed and ready to meet the day. But, when my night owl friends are getting started, I'm running out of gas.Nevertheless, we, both morning and evening people, need to make it through the day. The middle of the day can be the hardest for both.

I prefer morning for my quiet time of devotional reading, meditation and prayer. But evening people can set time for their personal devotions up to bedtime. Others, who work, may set side a portion of their lunchtime.

Perhaps David said it best, "...for You I wait all the day long". He stated no preference for morning, lunchtime or evening because his communion with the LORD and his concentration on Him was most likely full time.

Concentration on Jesus, as a committed follower, makes it possible to have an awareness of Him and an inner sense of reliance on Him. That's the kind of devotion I need ... All day long.

Blessings,

Tony
