Word of the Day

Genesis 18, 19 Matthew 6:1-18

Is anything if possible for God? I know the answer to that question. Do I live life consistent to that answer when faced with difficult situations. I would like to say yes but being honest I struggle with it just as Abraham and Sarah did with the promise they have been hearing for years. God is faithful and is going to bring us to that reality as He grows us in our faith.

Knowing judgment is coming as it did for Sodom & Gomorrah are we being advocates for those who do not have a saving faith in Jesus. Abraham was being an advocate for his relative Lot and asking the Lord to spare the righteous. I am not sure how righteous Lot was but the point being if we believe nothing is impossible for God; He can save those we know are going to face the just judgment as Sodom & Gomorrah did. I find it interesting where we are in the yearly reading and with what is being taught on Sundays. Prayer. We must be come people of prayer especially for those who do not know Jesus. Living consistent with the belief that God can do the impossible lets get on our faces and pray for the lost souls so they will not face judgment.
