Genesis 1,2,3 & Matthew 1

As we start a new year I will be joining the rest of wvBc in the reading plan announced on Sunday of reading the Bible through in the year. I like the fact we start in Genesis for a new start to the year. We start a new year with the book known as the origin or beginning. Chapter 1 has the creation account. As I was sitting eating breakfast with Cathi this morning and enjoying the beautiful blue sky I caught myself looking at the different trees and plants. Thinking that God created all these things for us to enjoy and to take care of. Living here in Arizona we have some magnificent sunrises and sunsets. I am convicted today that I take creation for granted.

Chapter 3 is all about God's amazing grace to me. We see the fall of man but then in verse 15 we see God's Plan of salvation. Following Genesis then starting in Matthew 1 we see the promise being fulfilled. God's grace is truly amazing. We just celebrated 4 baptisms last night of that amazing grace. My prayer is we see many more experience that grace in the 2013.
