Word of the Day: Ephesians 5-6

Word of the Day

Ephesians 5-6

Just today I was in a situation at work I was not very happy about. Putting in long hours during a recruit class comes with my position. I do not look for a lot of recognition and fact my goal is to keep as much off my bosses plate as possible and continue to run the program as smooth as possible focusing on serving the recruits and the other recruit training officers. Well as my flesh comes into play I realized I was mad about others who are there to assist us in the process of recruit training. I feel like they are taking advantage of the system and I have no say in the process because of the political climate we are in. Then God convicted me of the passage I just read in Ephesians 5:6-9. Who am I truly working for? Is it to please man or Jesus? How do I treat those who work for me?

Dear heavenly Father thank you for the situation today at work to show me the truth about my motives. Please forgive me for not working to please You. Lord I pray that I would see my work as a form of worship to you and not to please men. Father most of all please let me continue to be a light to those during these difficult times as people watch how I handle these situations. I pray that Jesus name is lifted up high. In Jesus precious name Amen.
