Word of the Day: 2 Corinthians 7:9-11

Word of the Day

2 Corinthians 7:9-11

Like I said yesterday God seems to bring the right Scripture to me when I need it. In these verses Paul is talking about true repentance and what true repentance looks like and where it is driven from. I find myself many times saying will you forgive me but is this just because I know we are to seek forgiveness. Is it truly repentance as Paul describes here. Is this repentance producing a changed life? Or is it producing a robotic I know what I am supposed to do attitude? It just happened to me recently where I said the words but not with much conviction.

Oh Father thank you for your Words and the Holy Spirit convicting me of my apathy for seeking forgiveness with the wrong motive. Lord please do not let me just say the words but convict my very soul of the wrong I have committed to bring a changed heart. Lord I cannot do this alone and I need your Spirit to strengthen me to follow through with true repentance. In Jesus name Amen.
