'The Building of God'

"The house, while it was being built, was built of stone prepared at the quarry, and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any iron tool heard in the house while it was being built." I Kings 6:7

The house where God dwells can never be made with our hands, our efforts, or human strength. Steven got stoned speaking this truth, "However, the Most high does not dwell in houses made by human hands; as the prophet says:

Heaven is my throne, and earth is the footstool of my feet; what kind of house will you build for me?' says the Lord, or what place is there for my repose? Was it not my hand which made all these things?" (Acts 7:46-50) We can make all the noise we want in the "quarry" of this life, but always remembering, "Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit". (Eph 2:20-3:1) You see the Spirit does not need to use a "hammer nor axe nor any iron tools", nor any of man's effort.

The longer I serve you, the more I understand that you're the one who is
directly responsible for building your dwelling place in me.
