This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3

The word for life here in the greek is zoe. This word zoe, speaks of the life which only comes from Jesus and focus more on the life only He gives and not so much of the idea of physical life.

Zoe or life, is the very thing we lack apart from Jesus. Without Jesus, we are dead in our trespasses and sin; no zoe. But in Jesus, we are no longer dead but alive. God gave us physical life, so that we may experience zoe life, through His Son Jesus. Not only does our Heavenly Father secure eternal zoe for us through the death and resurrection of His Son but He also introduces us to zoe here and now through His Son. In Jesus' on words "I am the way, and the truth, and the zoe". This word is set apart from any false sense of life this world has to offer and is far more amazing than anything we can image. Its the very abundant life Jesus promises in John 10:10.

So the question is, are we experiencing this zoe that Jesus gives?
Or, do we live life as if we were still dead?

In the same way that eternal life is obtained, so too is life here and now experienced. Its through knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He sent. Getting to know Jesus will necessarily lead to experiencing zoe in Jesus. Do not miss out on what Jesus came to give...zoe and to have it abundantly!
