The Long Silence Broken
Jonah 1:4 .....Well there has been so much "noise" in this personal, perfect storm that was "hurled" at me this week, that only now can I begin to hear again. What it might have been like when that man Jonah suddenly stood on the dry land, hearing God's voice, the second time.
How can I say, I love you Lord, while floundering through another godless day. Trying in my flesh, to understand and live my identity, in Chirst, in Him, in the Beloved. Another Jonah-type man, needing learn again and again, REPENT AND BELIEVE. The focus on being blessed 9Genesis 1:8) with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3).
Finally, like Jonah, out of the boat, out of the great fish and back on mission, finally back in the Word, back on mission. The mission; Deuteronomy 6:5, "and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might" and, in Christ, have compassion on our city. Find it full of "Nenevehites" ready to believe in God, if they come to know the difference between their right and left hand. (Jonah 4:11)
