Heart of a Child

Word of the Day

I was freshly reminded of the purity of a child’s love and thirst for Jesus. I was able to spend several days with my nephew. One night on the way home from dinner he asked me, with the innocence of a child; if I would go back up north with him and baptize him in a lake near his home.

With that a discussion ensued about salvation, Jesus, His life, death, and resurrection. Only not as you may normally share it; but, it was a great refreshing reminder of sharing the power of Jesus as a child with a child.

[4] We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
(Romans 6:4 ESV)

[4] And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.”
(Acts 19:4 ESV)

[5] one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
(Ephesians 4:5 ESV)

I just felt led to share with you all about how I was freshly reminded of the innocent love of Jesus. I pray that you all are refreshed in a similar way and that even just a bit you step back from the Christian-eze, the theological arguments, even our differences and just really get on your knees, dive into His Word with a purity that maybe you haven’t in awhile. Approach Him like a child and his Father….

I pray these things for you in Jesus name….
