Hearing God's Voice: Proverbs

Word of the Day

Proverbs 1:20–21

20 Wisdom shouts in the street, She lifts her voice in the square; 21 At the head of the noisy streets she cries out; At the entrance of the gates in the city she utters her sayings:

Father, please open my ears. I know You're speaking, I know You're shouting. It's my ears that need to be unplugged and refocused on You.
Please give me ears to hear!

Proverbs 2:1–6

1 My son, if you will receive my words and treasure my commandments within you, 2 make your ear attentive to wisdom, incline your heart to understanding; 3 for if you cry for discernment, lift your voice for understanding; 4 if you seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures; 5 then you will discern the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

O God I need you more than I even understand. Please, my King, cause me to receive and treasure Your Word more than my necessary food. Cause my heart to seek You more than great riches!

Please Father, life is so crazy, I need Your knowledge, Your wisdom, and Your understanding! Please give me ears to hear!

Proverbs 3:5–7 5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

Father, MAKE ME trust you in every situation. It's so easy to wrongfully see hurtful situations from my own perspective yet I know that you have purpose in it all. MAKE ME run to you and seek your will through Your Word and follow you to respond obediently. Lord, may I care what You think above anyone else! Please give me ears to hear!
