Then Jesus said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men". They immediately left their nets and followed Him. (Mark 1:17)

How's the fishing going? Are you intentionally seeking and praying for opportunities to cast your line or just getting through your day with as little stress as possible. It is so easy for us to get wrapped up in our schedules, needs, and wants, that we forget our purpose. John MacArthur describes this verse as the "central mission for His people."

I'll be honest. The place I'm really weak is being intentional about my kids seeing me fish for Jesus. Do they see me engaging my unbelieving neighbors or friends with the desire that they know Christ? How can I ever expect them to grow up being fishers of men if I don't first demonstrate how?

Ahhhh, so much to consider and keep top of mind. Thank God, He gave us His Spirit to dwell within us for strength, wisdom, and insight. All things are possible with Him!

Now, get out on that "lake"!
