A Glimpse Into The Future

Word of the Day

I am out of town on a business trip visiting our largest client. Yesterday a meeting was scheduled on my behalf with the new CEO. I have never met him as is typical with large corporate companies. One of my relationships here felt it necessary for me to pitch a revolutionary business model to the CEO that we have been developing for the last 8 months. Its a meeting I could have never scheduled without someone doing it on my behalf....
There are times when I sit before the Lord and hear certain things from him that I think might or could happen that day. Sometimes I read something and think, "Lord, are you telling me something that I need for today?" Then I pray and ask for illumination to understand his words when I might need them. Last night I prepared the horse for battle, and this morning I read:

Do you see a man skillful in his work?
He will stand before kings;
he will not stand before obscure men.
Proverbs 22:29

In the clearest voice I heard the Lord tell me that HE had appointed this day for me, for us. Our small little business is making waves in our industry and the Lord orchestrated this day to give us an opportunity with something that will transform us into something amazing.

As I walked into the meeting, I had a quiet confidence that only the Lord could give. The CEO's heart was warm and receptive. He was excited about everything I presented to him. The meeting concluded with him telling their management team that he loved the idea and "lets move forward on this today!" It was like I was playing a game and I already knew the result. The coolest part about the whole thing was that I KNEW that I couldn't take even an ounce of credit. It was the Lord's doing. He turns the Kings heart and he gets ALL the glory.

Father in heaven, Thank you that you are so kind to speak to me. I am so privileged to live today with a glimpse of how you so graciously established my steps. Thank you that you get all the Glory to keep me of being proud and think it is my hand that has done it. May you continue to increase and I decrease.

Blessings,
