Family: wife (25+ years), Laurie; six wonderful kids:  Skipper & Erin, Scotty & Dana, Spencer & Vanessa, and two grandkids, Garrison & Ryanne
Favorite things to do: Spending time with Laurie, spending time with our kids and playing with Garrison and Ryanne

Favorite Foods: Laurie's lasagna; almost anything from Carraba's; spoons of peanut butter right out of the jar; coffee with a lot of french vanilla creamer early in the morning
Role at WVBC: To facilitate the passionate pursuit of our Master's mission through leading the leaders, teaching the body and promoting the vision to reach this generation with the Good News of Jesus Christ through being an "as we go" people

What would you like people to know, most, about God? Experience His goodness and bask in His grace!


Doug Troyer, Pastor/Administrator
Hometown: I was born in Goshen, Indiana.  I lived at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon for eight years and in the summers during college.  I went to school at Grand Canyon University and have lived in the NW valley for the past 16 years.
Family: My beautiful wife Kerry and I have been married 13 years.  “Who can find an excellent wife?” asks the writer of Proverbs.  I DID!!!  We have three wonderful daughters – Kailee Jean, Abbigail Jayne and Emma Joy.
Favorite things to do: Spend time with my family and my Lord.  That’s it.  That’s plenty!

Favorite foods:  That is an easy one – chips and salsa!  Love em!
Role at WVBC: That is a harder one – my role will be continuously under construction as the Lord continues to grow His church.  I will seek to strengthen unity in the body by helping to facilitate coordination, communication, and cooperation between and within ministries as they go and make disciples.
Favorite TV show: What’s TV?  We get 6 channels with our rabbit ears.  That’s plenty!
What would you like people to know, most, about God? That He longs to be gracious to us.  That He calls us TO Him, desires for us to grow IN Him, and empowers us to serve others THROUGH Him.
